Core Values
The Core Values of the Army Cadet Force are:
Selfless Commitment - We must do our best at all times.
Courage - We must have the moral courage to do always what is right.
Discipline - To be effective we must be disciplined, especially self-disciplined.   This will earn trust and respect.   It equips us to cope with the difficult, individual decisions we have to make when serving the Cadets.
Integrity - We are always to be honest, sincere, reliable and unselfish.
Loyalty - We are relied upon for our commitment and support.   We must always be loyal to those who rely upon us.   If we are not, we will let them down.
Respect for Others - We have exceptional responsibility for leading, supervising and training young people.   We must demonstrate between ourselves and show to our Cadets, the greatest respect, tolerance and compassion.
Adherence to the Law. It goes without saying that we are all subject to the Law.   As good citizens we have a duty to uphold it. |
Conduct and The Conduct Test
We are to avoid any activity which undermines our professional ability or puts others at risk.   We are to avoid any behaviour which damages trust and respect between us and others.   We must not commit any form of harassment, bullying or discrimination or any other behaviour that could undermine good order and discipline.   Ultimately, we must measure our conduct against the following test: |
| Have our actions or behaviour adversely impacted or are they likely to impact on the efficiency or effectiveness of the Army Cadet Force? |
Duty of Care
Those of us in positions of authority at any level have a duty of care towards the Cadets and those around us.   We are to look after their interests and ensure that they fully understand what is expected of them.   This duty includes ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a thorough and timely manner.
