Subjects The subjects in the Syllabus up to and including 3-Star are compulsory.   All cadets must undertake all subjects and by so doing comply with the Aim of Training in the ACF and meet the requirements of the ACF Charter. |
Cadet Instructor Training All cadets training at 3-Star level must have attended a Junior Cadet Instructors' Cadre and will be assessed as potential instructors in Drill, Skill at Arms, Map and Compass and Fieldcraft.   This assessment will assist in the cadet’s choice of subjects at 4-Star Level.   A cadet who shows little or no aptitude as an instructor will not be barred from achieving a 3-Star Award.
4-Star Achievement To attain 4-Star status, senior cadets may either qualify for the DofE Silver Award or complete one of a number of training options made up of a variety of combinations of courses and 4-Star progressive or unique subjects.
Master Cadets Appointment to Master Cadet status is at the discretion of the Cadet Commandant.   To qualify for consideration, a cadet must undertake further training at 4-Star level, receive appropriate recommendations from Detachment and Company staff and successfully attend a Master Cadet Course at CTC. |
