Training - Periods
Duration
Training periods normally comprise 30 minutes of instruction exclusive of preparation and packing up.
Periods and Subjects
Periods allotted to particular subjects in the syllabus are intended as a guide to instructors who must decide whether more or less are required after study of the appropriate sections of the Cadet Training Manual and taking into account the standard of individual cadets.
Timetabling
Training at Basic, 1-Star and 2-Star levels is normally carried out on a detachment basis during mid-week evening periods or as part of company weekends.   Training at 3-Star and 4-Star levels is normally conducted through County arrangements at weekends.   Training in some subjects such as The Cadet and the Community and Expedition Physical Activities may have to take place outside of designated Syllabus time.
External Organisations
At 4-Star level some training may, with the approval of the Cadet Commandant, be carried out under arrangements with organisations outside of the ACF such as rifle or orienteering clubs.
