Purpose
To initiate senior cadets into the Techniques of Instruction and to assess cadets' ability as potential instructors, with particular reference to possible subsequent selection for the Senior Cadet Instructors' Cadre at 4-Star level. |
Syllabus
To teach senior cadets how to instruct up to and including 1-Star level in: ● Drill, Turnout and Military Knowledge; ● Skill at Arms; ● Mapwork; ● Fieldcraft |
Conduct
There will be no formal testing at this level and no “PASS” or “FAIL” will be awarded. Senior cadets will be continuously assessed and an assessment report will be given on completion of the cadre. |
Assessment
The report should grade cadets in their overall ability to instruct with a separate grade for performance in presenting teaching practices in each subject. |
Note
Senior cadets showing little aptitude as potential instructors will not thereby be debarred from achieving 3-Star level. Their assessment report could influence choice of one of the four training options at 4-Star level and suitability for the Senior Cadet Instructors’ Cadre. |
