Overview
Officers and Adult Instructors (AI) must be appropriately qualified, current and competent to train Cadets.   Knowldge of the syllabus and instructional ability are essential. |
Obligation
Officers and AIs are to complete and be tested on the training below. |
Adult Induction Course (AIC)
Within 4 months all adults are to complete the AIC.   This training lasts 2 weekends and is organised by County HQ. |
Adult Initial Training Course (AITC)
Within 18 months all adults are to complete the AITC.   This training lasts 10 days and is centrally organised or takes place on Summer Camp with support from the Cadet Training Team (CTT). |
Cadet Training Centre - Adult Instructors' Course (CTC-AIC)
Within 36 months and after the AITC, all adults are to complete the CTC-AIC. |
Continuation Training
For the following appointments or training types, qualification courses are as follows:
Detachment Commanders (Det Comds).   Formal on the job training for Det Comds.
Field Training Exercises (FTX).   King George VI (KGVI) Memorial Leadership Course at CTC qualifies for FTXs and ise of pyrotechnics.
Company Commanders (Coy Comds).   Coy Comds are to attend an Area Commanders' Course at CTC.
Cadet Commandant.   The Cadet Commandant is to attend the ACF Cadet Commandants' and Senior Officers' Course at CTC within 1 year.
Refresher Training.   Weekend refresher courses and study periods deemed necessary by the Commandant.

| Commissioning Seminar.   Potential commissioning candidates attend a Commissioning Seminar, organised by the Commandant on an as required basis. |
