Wiltshire Army Cadet Force participated in the Ten Tors Challenge in this 50th Anniversary Year of the event. We were fortunate enough to enter two teams this year, one on each of the 45 and 55 miles routes. The weather throughout was pleasantly cool and only occasionally damp.
Our 55 mile team delivered a sterling performance achieving 7 of the Tors before light injury and exhaustion forced their withdrawal from the event. Our 45 mile team completed their route successfully at 13:32 hours on the Sunday in excellent spirits. The Commandant was privileged to present their medals on behalf of Commander 43 (Wessex) Brigade.
All of us who took part in and supported our teams continue to be inspired by this exceptional event. We are determined to return next year.
