On Saturday 28th November 2009, Brigadier Stephen Hodder, Commander 43 (Wessex) Brigade, visited Wiltshire Army Cadets at the County Headquarters in Devizes and at Tilshead Training Camp.
Brigadier Hodder was very interested in all aspects of Wiltshire Army Cadets and endured an hour of powerpoint and discussion with Headquarters staff. He then shared lunch with the 15 potential Adult Instructors on the Adult Induction Course where he took time to speak with everybody.
Moving on to Tilshead, Brigadier Hodder met with the Adult Instructors and Cadets of D (Gallipoli) Company on a weekend training event.   In the woods, recruit Cadets were experiencing ration packs, field cooking and basher building for the first time and more senior Cadets were receiving instruction and hands-on survival training.   Again, Brigadier Hodder took time to meet as many Adult Instructors and Cadets as possible and took a real interest in the training.
