Sat/Sun18/19 Apr 09

Forty new recruits from Ferozeshah (A) Company spent a challenging and fun packed weekend at Cadet Training Centre, Tilshead during the recent A (Ferozeshah) Company training weekend between the dates 18th & 19th April.

The new cadets aged twelve and thirteen participated in a variety of exciting training activities as part of their initial basic training package.

Activities ranged from adventure training, fieldcraft, drill and military knowledge - Ferozeshah style!   The new recruits from detachments based in Swindon, Wootton Bassett, Chippenham and Calne relished all challenges which were set before them.

As well as the recruit training, all other training groups were set demanding activities to further progress the cadets individually and as a team.

Captain David Hogg (Company 2IC) who manages recruit training said: “It is a privilege to be involved with these young people who take full advantage of the training on offer and aspire to be the best they can be.   The future certainly looks promising for the Company.”

The Company looks forward to its next training weekend over the period 21st & 22nd June 2009 which will be an exercise based at Beeches Barn FIBUA complex on Salisbury Plain Training Area.
