Wootton Bassett Tribute Parade
12 Oct 08
Cadets from Ferozeshah (A) Company joined in the tribute parade on Sunday 12th October 2008 to thank the residents of Wootton Bassett for honouring fallen heroes.

Both Wootton Bassett and Church Place detachments lined the main High Street in the town along with cadets and other personnel from the three services.

Thousands of local people turned out at the jubilant event waving union flags whilst watching marching troops, military bands and a fly past by a RAF C-17A Globemaster aircraft. Also in attendance was the Lord Lt for Wiltshire, Tri - Service Chiefs of Staff and the Defence Secretary.

The event was organised to pay tribute to the residents and businesses in the town, who since April 2007, have lined the streets as a mark of respect when our fallen heroes have made their final journeys through the town from RAF Lyneham.

Major Peter White (OC - Ferozeshah (A) Company said, “The cadets considered it a privilege to assist with the event and all were immaculately turned out. They really did Wiltshire ACF proud!”
